COLORADO TARTAN DAY - President Woodrow Wilson said, "Every line of strength in American history is a line covered with Scottish blood." From Dr. Benjamin Waterhouse, who was the only doctor among the founders of Harvard Medical school, to the famous musician Johnny Cash, Scottish Americans are woven into the fabric of American culture. These contributions are the reason the Congresses of the United States and the State of Colorado set aside April 6th as a day of recognition. The Colorado Tartan Day Council (CDTC) was formed for the sole purpose of ensuring that this day is honored and celebrated.  Thus, CTDC festivities are held in April, with a Highland Tea, Whisky Tasting, Dinner and Ceilidh, and numerous other activities.
